Roberta Sandler
Roberta Sandler has written more than 1,000 articles that have appeared in scores of magazines and newspapers including Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, AAA Car and Travel, USAirways Attache, San Diego Union Tribune, South China Morning Post, Good Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal, Bride's, Family Circle, Newsday, etc. She is a member of Society of American Travel Writers and International Travel Writers Alliance and has won several print media awards for her travel and lifestyle articles. Her expertise is in cruising and historical travel. Roberta is a former travel columnist and former adjunct writing instructor at Palm Beach State College. She has lectured about historical travel for Chautauqua, Elderhostel and clubs and organizations. Her first guidebook, "Guide to Florida Historical Walking Tours" (Pineapple Press) won a Golden Quill Award from Florida Historical Society. Her latest book is "A Brief Guide to Florida's Monuments and Memorials" (University Press of Florida). Roberta and her husband, Martin Sandler, are a photojournalism team who have traveled extensively to write about and photograph destinations and cruises worldwide.
